Town Clerk

The Town Clerk serves as a central point of contact for many of the Town’s administrative and record-keeping functions. The Clerk is responsible for maintaining official Town records and ensuring that public documents are properly filed, preserved, and made accessible in accordance with New York State law.

 

Residents may contact the Town Clerk for assistance with marriage licenses and marriage transcripts, as well as birth and death certificates. The Clerk also issues dog licenses and New York State Conservation licenses, including hunting, trapping, and fishing licenses.

 

In addition to these responsibilities, the Town Clerk serves as the Town’s Records Management Officer, overseeing the organization, retention, and lawful disposition of Town records in compliance with New York State records management requirements.
